Good curriculum, which is relevant to the language and culture of indigenous groups, is often very expensive to obtain, especially when only a few thousand people speak the language. Digital multi-lingual resources are a great alternative to this dilemma. SIL’s Bloom software was solely developed to meet this need for multi-lingual education among small groups of language speakers. Bloom allows anyone, including those with limited computer skills, to create multi-lingual e-books with audio, resulting in ‘talking books’. Think about it - Indigenous language speakers having easy access to read and listen to a variety of books in their own language!
