At Ampe-kenhe Ahelhe in Mparntwe we are leading the way in teaching our children our way. We teach them about the Land – from which everything comes – language, lore, culture, and create resources so they can learn in their First Language. This presentation will share the journey of resource development at Ampe-kenhe Ahelhe (Children’s Ground). We are using old and new ways to document and keep our language strong. We create resources in Arrernte (Eastern/ Central & Western) and Luritja, and present them through books, digital apps, and now music. We will show you our resources, talk about how we make them and even teach you some Arrernte using our new songs.
