Social media platforms are an important communication tool for First Nations Language Centres and communities nationally. This workshop will give hands-on practical tips on how to recognise online abuse, how to stay safe online and what to do if you, your community or language centre experiences abuse.

Emma Milliss is the First Nations Programs Manager for the eSafety Commissioner’s, eSafety Women program. Emma identifies as a First Nations woman and mother, with mob from the Burrorgorang Valley on Gundungurra Country. 
Julie Gibson is a Program Manager in the Diverse Communities team at the eSafety Commissioner. As part of the Education and Prevention branch, her program focusses on the First Nations communities, bridging the digital divide to enable all Australians to benefit from the online world.
