Blend Indigenous Cultural Knowledges, with cutting-edge, interactive, and immersive technology with the Ballardong Whadjuk Culture Tech program
In this workshop we combine Indigenous Cultural Knowledges (ICK) with emerging, interactive, immersive technologies. It is a design thinking studio for designing a minimal viable product of a Cultural Hub (CH). CHs store ICK and community members have access, according to kinship lore, for individual or community entrepreneurial benefit and partnerships. The purpose of this workshop is to learn the value of technology enabled ICK for economic independence through entrepreneurship of ICK sovereignty. |

Kelvin Garlett, Ballardong/Whadjuk Elder and Traditional Owner, is deeply connected to culture and has significant experience working research projects including a Microsoft VR/Al/ machine learning technology project. |

Susan Beetson a Ngemba Wayilwan and Wiradjuri computer scientist and researcher at the University of Queensland. Susan uses new and emerging technologies to digitally translate cultural Knowledges in interactive and immersive entrepreneurial environments. |
